Mission: Improve healthcare management in northern, eastern, and central Maine by planning for a standard exchange and integration of clinical information among healthcare organizations through the use of technology by:
- Creating a plan for rural Maine for the sustainable use of health information technology that produces safer, higher quality, effective and efficient delivery of health care for patients with chronic disease.
- Establishing the necessary infrastructure to a comprehensive, integrated information technology network for communication in support of patients with chronic disease.
- Adopting and improving processes to improve patient care coordination and to facilitate availability of clinical patient data among healthcare organizations that is consistent with federal, state, and local confidentiality regulations.
